Meet the Directors

Bennett Parsons | Director of Bands  parsonsb@ccisd.net 

This year will be Bennett Parsons' sixth year as Director of Bands at Victory Lakes Intermediate School and twelfth year in education. Prior to Victory Lakes, he taught in Pearland ISD at Berry Miller Junior High & Rogers Middle School. Mr. Parsons teaches beginning brass classes, assists in the Honor band, and leads the Wind Ensemble. Students under his direction have achieved highly at various TMEA, UIL, and solo events.

Mr. Parsons has performed with both the Houston Brass Band, where he was a featured soloist, and more recently with the Magnolia City Brass Band. Led by Robert Walp of the Houston Symphony, the Magnolia City Brass Band performs at many venues around the Houston area including the Hobby Center's Zilka Hall.

Mr. Parsons serves as the TMEA Region 17 North Zone middle school band chair & a representative to the Texas Bandmasters Association.  
He is also Summa Cum Laude graduate of Texas Christian University.

When he's not in the band hall, Mr. Parsons enjoys running, cycling, cooking, and watching Marvel movies.

Cameron Coday | Associate Director Ccoday@ccisd.net 

Cameron Coday joins the Varsity Lakes Intermediate School in her sixth year of teaching. Previously, she taught in Deer Park ISD at Deer Park Junior High and at Lamar High School in HISD. Ms. Coday teaches the beginner woodwind classes, helps with the Wind Ensemble, and leads the Honor Band.  

Ms. Coday graduated High Honors on a full scholarship with a Bachelor of Music and Minor in Leadership from the University of Colorado where she studied clarinet. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with her Master of Music Education from Central Washington University at the American Band College.  

Ms. Coday was a clinician for The Assisted Director and is a featured content creator for Conn-Selmer's MusicProfessor.com. She is active in Drum Corps International as brass staff for The Arizona Academy. She performed on baritone and euphonium with The Troopers (2013, 2014), Phantom Regiment (2015), and The Cadets (2016). 

Outside of the band hall, Ms. Coday can be found CrossFit H-Town where she coaches Olympic Weightlifting classes and CrossFit. Mr. Benjamin Leonard Mittens, her orange tabby cat, welcomes her home every evening. 

Miss Coday is a member of TMEA and TBA.

Adrian Aguirre | Director of Percussion | Aaguirre@ccisd.net 

Adrian Aguirre is in his 1st year as director of percussion studies at Clear Springs High School, Victory Lakes Intermediate, & Creekside Intermediate. He is a graduate of Sam Houston State University. He is also a proud alum of Clear Falls High School.
